THE ART OF LIGHT

This was my first photography show. I learned so much from David Strom of Sikeston, MO. One comment from David is, "My photography is a creative way for me to share and preserve the experience and sense of place and sensory emotion found at a particular intersection of time, place, and light." The title on this one is "Golden Forest".

FOREST GLEN

"My photographic journey began around age 12 when my father and I pulled his old enlarger from a dusty shelf and he helped me set up a darkroom to develop some black and white film I had exposed with his old folding camera. I was hooked the minute I saw an image appear on the paper through the magic of the darkroom chemistry. For me, photography is an ideal blend of the creative and the technical; definitely a left brain/right brain kind of thing."

AUTUMN FOREST

"Photographers have struggled throughout history with the inability of their tools to fully record the incredible range of tones and detail that nature provides, and the human eye can discern. I use today's digital processes and tools to overcome these limitations, mimicking traditional chemical darkroom techniques by making adjustments to contrast, brightness, and color saturation to produce an expressive print, as near to what I saw and felt at the moment the shutter tripped as possible."

MEMORIES OF AUTUMN

This is one of my favorites. It is a photo of a reflection in the water. I placed green, yellow and orange art glasss pieces in front of it....STUNNING!
